Corporate Leaders in Philanthropy 2009Vedomosti business newspaper, in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Donors Forum nonprofit partnership of grantmaking organisations, is conducting the third annual survey of corporate philanthropic programmes in Russia. This year, the project is going under the name “Corporate Leaders in Philanthropy 2009”. It is a sequel to Vedomosti and PwC’s corporate philanthropy survey and the Donor Forum’s “Russian Corporate Donor” competition. The survey is designed to study corporate charitable programmes in 2009, to analyse best practices in corporate philanthropy, and to attract public, government and media attention to this aspect of Russian business. This year’s project is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the Commission for Civil Society Development of the Public Chamber of Russia. These organisations have suggested their nominations for the charitable programme competitions which will be held as part of the survey. The 2008-2009 project participants included both leading Russian companies (Lukoil, Severstal, Transaero, Seventh Continent, Uralsib Bank, UniCreditBank) and representative offices of major foreign companies (Mercedes-Benz Rus, Raiffeisen Bank, Sodexo Eurasia, British American Tobacco Russia, Amway). We would like to invite you to take part in the survey, as we acknowledge your company’s contribution to the development of a culture of giving in Russia. You can find all the survey materials on Vedomosti’s website at http://vedomosti.ru/rankings2009/, or on the Donors Forum website at donorsforum.ru.
